RDD MOTORSPORTS DOMINATES IN SFRMAX

South Florida-based Kart Mini team makes a dominant run taking all final wins in all three classes

Deerfield Beach, FL – RDD Motorsports of Deerfield Beach, Florida, the exclusive North American importer of the Kart Mini chassis, returned to their South Florida home track and put down a dominating performance on the way to taking five wins in three different classes. The RDD team was short one driver as Garrett Sargeant was sidelined with a broken ankle suffered during a soccer match. The multi-sport athlete will be back on track in four to six weeks time.

“We missed having Garrett on track but he was with his teammates cheering them on,” states team manager André Serra. “He got his first win at Oklahoma and he is really driving well. We will monitor his recovery and work him back into action based on how we see things are moving along.”

RDD Motorsports would send one Kart Mini driver into the Micro Max, Mini Max and Junior classes for two full days of competition on the ultra smooth Homestead Miami track located just south of Miami, Florida.

Saturday Action

In the Micro Max class, the lone RDD Motorsports driver Logan Sargeant made it a clean sweep on the Saturday ticket. Logan would take pole position, win the prefinal and go onto win the final event. His #524 Kart Mini would dominate the day and earn him the top spot on the box.

In Mini Max action Dalton Sargeant would carry the yellow and black colors of Kart Mini driving kart #441. Dalton would challenge for the lead in a tight battle. In the final laps of the final, Dalton would mount a charge on the leader and cross the stripe in second

In Junior Max, Sebastian Ordonez would take his #261 Kart Mini into a deep field of competitors. Ordonez would qualify in third after the timed session was complete. The young Columbian would finish in second in the prefinal. In the final Ordonez would charge to the front to take the win.

Super Sunday Action

In Sunday action the RDD Motorsports/Kart Mini team would step it up a notch and sweep all three classes. Starting with Micro Max driver Logan Sargeant, he would take his #524 Kart Mini to pole, prefinal and final win. That would be followed up by Mini Max driver Dalton Sargeant who would again run the table clean taking pole, prefinal honors and be first across the line in the final.

Looking to go three-for-three Junior Max pilot Ordonez would follow through and deliver a perfect run setting fast lap in timed qualifying, lead the field in the prefinal and top the podium in the final event.

“All the drivers did a great job this weekend,” comments RDD Motorsports team leader Andre Serra. “We were able to win 50% of the classes here this weekend, taking the win in all three we entered. It was great to see all of our drivers take the first on the podium. I guess bragging rights will have to wait for the next race.

RDD Motorsports will be back in action at the Homestead Karting facility on July 11 and 12 for rounds five and six of the South Florida R-Max Challenge. The team will then head west again to the Oklahoma Motorsports Complex for the R-Max Challenge Finals.
